Currently, the research in mathematics at RU is in the fields of Combinatorics, Graph theory, Optimization, Stability Analysis of Nonlinear Systems, Linear Programming and Algebra.
There is one research group so far, namely the Combinatorics Group. To find out more about research in the other fields mentioned above, look at the people associated to these fields.

Some of the mathematicians at RU are also associated with The Icelandic Centre of Excellence in Theoretical Computer Science.
